I installed lighttpdusing the instructions found here http://www.plugcomputer.org/plugwiki/index.php/Frequently_Asked_Questions#How_do_I_set_up_a_webserver_on_the_plug.3F_Can_I_use_php.3F

It seems to be pegging the CPU any ideas why?

Check the protection on /tmp. I found that I had to
chmod 777 /tmp
so that the web server and other non root users could write temp files.

Well I admit I punted and installed nginx instead. It seems to be working just fine and by all accounts may be better anyway so I am going to stick with it.

Thanks for the help

Nginx, php, mysql, vsftp all installed and running fine. I am now adding SMF forum software. I have added a 8Gig SD card and now boot off of it using the instructions found here. http://www.plugcomputer.org/plugwiki/index.php/Frequently_Asked_Questions#How_Can_I_Make_the_Hardware_Do_More.3F

everything is working fine this is sweet
