Hello all

Sorry if this is the wrong place, i have had a search in relation to pxe booting the plug to tftp a netboot installer.  (similar to soekris if anyone has used one).  I couldnt find any posts on pxe booting, but did run accross uboot.  is this the plugs term for pxe booting?

If not is the plug capable of pxe booting?  I have seen posts / info about booting from a sd card which seems a bit laborious.

Thanks

Hello

UBoot is the bootloader of the Plug. It can boot from internal flash as well as from the Network. TFTP is used to transfer the Kernel Image from the Remote server to ther plug (similar to PXE). I don't know if UBoot can request the boot info using DHCP like PXE does.

The Wiki has an example with static Network config in the bootloader: http://plugcomputer.org/plugwiki/index.php/Setting_up_TFTP_and_NFS
