Hello I'am a newbe
I have a sheeva plug that won't start right,
the problem starts after trying to flash installer 1.0
my startup looks like this

And i have used the search buttom, but without luck to manage the plug
i have tried to recover from usb, but the usb-storage is not comming up on the boot
the usb is formatet to ext2
the only luck i have to start the plug is from tftp image but i don't know how to flash a new image in nand
I only want to have the plug back to factory

please help i have  tried in weeks to do it on my own.

It looks like the uImage was not burned to nand flash, can you post the installer/console print ?
Describe host PC hw/OS and setup more so we can help you

I'am not at home wil send installer later

i use xp home
i have setup tftp and have flash new u-boot
i can connect to the plug via usb console
i have made a usb-key with usb recover files, but it don't work

I am not sure whether it is related, but I had the same error message after trying to put the rootfs on the SD card.

My thread is here.

The long and the short of it was, I re-flashed using the Sheevaplug Installer, and all was fine again.

I'am trying to use installer 1.0

I have make a usb fat32 copy all files from installer dir
boot the plug with the usb-key
and from winxp promt runme.exe nand|mmc

i get a program starting consol i think , when i close it the dos consol show this

I believe that means it cannot find the serial device - so nothing has been written to the device.

Not totally sure, but I would start by ensuring that you can connect to the plug via the mini-USB connector. Then, close up PuTTy and then try running the installer again.

Maybe someone more experienced will come along soon and be able to give more specific instructions!

hello
now i got this up and run with help from other site
i erase and flash new uimage manuel (not with installer) and change the env to default like on the wiki page

now i want a distro with usb0 support
how is the best way to do this and do an other ubuntu  work with usb

i don't want to brick it again it is to hard to fix it
