Update here, too:  My plug arrived.  It's missing one of the rubber feet but otherwise seems okay.  Everything runs, computingplugs.com has been very helpful, Squid works wonderfully, but I'm being very cautious about setting it up in general.

Edit:  It's not missing one of the rubber feet.  Said foot just fell off, unseen, while being removed from its packaging.  So, hurrah, I got a full unit.  Smiley

I ordered a GuruPlug Server Plus over two months ago. I got a receipt when they took my money (as soon as I ordered).

I waited a month before sending them an email asking what was going on. I've sent them another one today. According to the site, my product has still "not shipped".

I am in Australia, and aware that it's not going to appear over night...but two months? No communication, no indication of when it _might_ arrive....

Can't say I'm thrilled.

Just to add to the NewIT info

Yes they are a reseller for Globalscale but there orders are delivered direct from the manufacturers in china. And they are  clued up on support.

I ordered one from Globalscale 6-8 weeks delay in receiving
I ordered one from NewIT next day

In conclusion if in Europe use NewIT. If in America and you want it quickly and dont mind paying the extra shipping costs use NewIt. Otherwise prepare for along wait and use Globalscale.

More updates on Globalscale delivery to help people out.
I have received about 170 plugs since they came out.
They have been reliable for the most part except for the following:

1. 5 plugs failed due to Power Supply failure after between 6-12 month of operation with a single USB peripheral attached.  PS is available on the website for 9.95 and ships quickly and is easy to replace.
2. Newest plug shipment clock timing is different resulting in a ntp problem that can be resolved through kernel update.

Shipping issues:

1. Guruplug PS was a problem and they have delayed shipment to get it right.  Many people are queued up to receive it so it is taking a while to fulfill orders.
2. of 7 shipments received, 6 were delayed approximately twice the quoted time.
3. Blanket POs and payment up front will help you get your plugs on time since Globalscale can anticipate demand a little better and level production.

Overall:
Good product and great price.  Worth your wait, but anticipate that you will wait for your order.

Hope this helps!
