Ordered Sat 2009-Jun-27, shipped Fri 2009-Aug-07, delivered Tue 2009-Aug-11. 45 days (six weeks and change).
I want to order several more of these, but not until an alternative supplier is available. Globalscale is a joke.
First impressions:
* I can't believe how small it really is. The case looks white in photos, but it's actually a light putty gray.
* Had no trouble removing the AC prong. It was stiff, but I didn't need to use a tool.
* USB serial cable seems to fit snugly enough, though I'm aware it might slip.
* Vista automagically installed serial drivers, but no com ports were listed in the Device Manager (I'm using a newer notebook with no COM/LPT ports of its own). I couldn't get the drivers on the Development Kit 1.2 CD to install (Windows kept insisting the ones it provided were good enough), so I removed them and installed
FTDI's VCP drivers instead. That did the trick.
I'm now about to try Rabeeh's Sheevaplug Installer Alpha 6, and if all goes well, I'll be running the ARM version of Slackware 12.2 from a USB enclosure.
