Hi,

I'm not quite done yet, but my static Web sites such as www.earth.org.uk and www.hd.org, along with my code repositories, are now on the SheevaPlug and off my laptop/server.

In the next day or so I hope to get my DNS and mail and Java-based sites moved over, and the laptop/server and be ceremonially powered down, and my electricty bill should be down by about 0.5kWh/day!

Rgds

Damon

PS. I really like the reboot time of under a minute (except when ext3 is recovering its journal because I knocked the power lead out *again*).

Hurrah!

I have moved the last of my services, mail, to my SheevaPlug.

So everything is now off the previous laptop/server and it is powered off.

Services include Web (static and Java-based), DNS, mail, NTP.

(I'm sure that there'll be the odd glitch and I may well use that laptop for other things...)

The battery got as slow as 'yellow' (part-full) status on my solar controller, so I spent a lot of today fixing various software issues to reduce consumption.

Rgds
