you can just cram it into your network and you got yourself a proxy server or even a router. you would have been able to pull the strings of all incoming/outgoing network traffic. so just to get objective, is there any device that you know that basically embed like 2 NICs and can be shoved into our Sheevaplug?

If I got it right, can't there be a second interface be mounted on the hardware?
Thought I read something about eth0 and eth1 before.

The DevKit Reference Design says the processor has two controllers, however, only one of them was actually laid out in the SheevaPlug board. So yes such a thing could be built but it would take a new board. Maybe a later product?
