thank you for the answer, I think I have the rootfs in machine.I do not know how to update the new kernel d2plug_lsp_src_v05.tar.bz2 in the system.

The rootfs-20110903.tar.gz is it different from the original? and the new kernel it is included ?

depending on your answer mentor I will charge the rootfs on a USB key as shown in the documentation. I'm already in this configuration.  Smiley

for kernel , you could used document form

http://www.plugcomputer.org/405/us/d2plug/documentation/D2Plug-Software-User-Guide.pdf

page 13,section 4:reflash eMMC ,search about the uImage word , you will know how to do it

another thing , just let you know , as I know you could through wireless ->AP-> internet or ethnet->internet,I don't think different connect to internet has the root cause, but for sync everything , I let you know I  used ethernet to connect to internet,

So I loaded the  "uImage.d2plug_v05" in partionFAT and rootfs "d2plug-rootfs-20110903.tar.gz" in the other partition.

When I do this, the d2plug does not boot.

By cons if I load the uImage.d2plug_v0p4 the plug boot normally.

What is the problem?

Well, I do not continue. There are too many problems with this system.    Embarrassed

I re-load the rootfs web-Site http://www.plugcomputer.org/downloads/d2plug/
Impossible to acces on internet, NetworkManager  does not work.
After hours of setting and install wicd  the problem is identical. "your kernel does not support iptables".    Angry

D2plug and Linux  do not go together for advanced use.   Angry
(Globalscale the manufacturer does not offer a solution for their equipment.)
It's a shame. Thank you for helping me.   Wink

I has follow the below like to upgrade  kernel and rootfs at my D2plug, I didn't see what you
said
http://www.plugcomputer.org/405/us/d2plug/documentation/D2Plug-Software-User-Guide.pdf

BTW , as I remember ,has someone also has some issue  like yours , at that time ,the root cause is he untar the rootfs not add "--numeric-owner"

if not add above paramter at untar ,it has chance let some library at rootfs permite is wrong

so could you double confirm your untar rootfs procedure is "sudo tar --numeric-owner -xzf ~/d2plug-rootfs-20110903.tar.gz"

 I confirm
the procedure is well respected, the command entered is:
#sudo tar --numeric-owner -xzf ~/d2plug-rootfs-20110903.tar.gz

this is strange !

thank you for your patience   Smiley

After thinking.
the d2plug works well, but there are some programs that are not compatible.
I have verified the integrity of the rootfs with md5sum. No problems on that side.

Can you confirm for me that works in you IPTABLES with this kernel?

(This is the only problem with this system. No firewall bothers me about this system)

thank's      Wink
