Got a new batch. And it seems that instead of 2MB Flash SPI now it comes with 512MB NAND FLASH and new uBoot version.

I was able to copy my Kernel (from FAT partition) to Flash as in a GuruPlug tutorial. Problem is that this new uBoot seems to get stuck scanning BUS with certain USB Mass Storage devices plugged Sad

I would not expect any of my kernels to work with NAND flash.
However,  sheeva kernels might now be a better fit for the dreamplug.

Actually they do but NAND MTD isnīt detected.

I modified the kernel (dreamplug-setup.c) to include Orion NAND but it doesnīt detect the NAND either Sad

Not sure which is the biggest problem,

Your specific problem or how to provide a generic Dreamplug kernel?

Actually 512MB flash isnīt bad.

The real problem with this new batch is the buggy uBoot they used, it cannot boot from external SD and it hangs with some USB storage devices. I booted with a GuruPlug uBoot and it starts and recognize the NAND, so I started to compile a new uBoot which is a DreamPlug uBoot with bits from GP board definition to allow NAND, so far it compiles and loads but it cannot see the NAND and Iīm a complete noob with uBoot Sad

Since kernel is modular I think it can be modified to support SPI NOR and NAND on the same Kernel but it seems hard to do the same on uBoot in order to have a generic DP uBoot too Sad

BTW it also comes with rootfs on NAND flash... UBIFS fs Smiley

So does it still have an internal uSD?

Yes. But itīs empty. The kernel and rootfs is on the NAND.

Since the GP uBoot recognize the NAND. A Kernel modified to have GP NAND partitions and Orion NAND should work but I don't know why it doesn't detect the NAND chip (Samsung 512MiB NAND, 8bits) Sad
