3.2.2 is now available.

For everything besides Dreamplugs:
sudo ./README-PLUG-UPDATE.sh 3.2.2 --nandkernel (installs to nand)
or:
sudo ./README-PLUG-UPDATE.sh 3.2.2 --rootkernel (installs to /boot)

For Dreamplugs:
sudo ./README-DREAM-UPDATE.sh 3.2.2 (installs to /boot)

Kernel and modules are available from the following locations:

http://www.plugapps.com/mirror/with-linux/
http://www.xilka.com/sheeva/

Features systemd, e-sata, dmcrypt, IPV6, CIFS, NFS4, EXT3, EXT4, JFS, XFS, FUSE(for ntfs-3g), UBIFS, usb-serial, uvcvideo, iptables, appletalk, bluetooth, v4l and ppp.

The kernel source is here, for those of you who need to compile custom modules.  It's no longer necessary for me to use dropbox for the kernel source, since you can access it on the plugapps mirror.

This one still locks up with same problem on the Dreamplug.

I have no idea of where to even begin debugging this.

Code:
...
Bytes transferred = 2688232 (2904e8 hex)
## Booting kernel from Legacy Image at 06400000 ...
   Image Name:   Linux-3.2.2
   Created:      2012-01-26   9:35:33 UTC
Image Type:   ARM Linux Kernel Image (uncompressed)
   Data Size:    2688168 Bytes = 2.6 MiB
   Load Address: 00008000
   Entry Point:  00008000
   Verifying Checksum ... OK
   Loading Kernel Image ... OK
OK

Starting kernel ...

Uncompressing Linux... done, booting the kernel.

It seems that it is not only cbx kernels. Scanning around the web, the problem appears to also impact several other ARM boards. It seems that is a feature of 3.2 kernels.

I used this https://github.com/jsnyder/arm-eabi-toolchainto build a new toolchain. Then I tried to rebuild with gcc-4.6.1 - no joy.

Next over at http://forum.doozan.com/read.php?2,6550 I saw a suggestion to turn MTD off and I was able to build a booting kernel, but this is unstable since the kernel gives an oops

Code:

hi,
I had the same booting problem with 3.2
so just to say I compiled the last 3.3 RC1 version of the kernel and the problem seems to be corrected for this version even if as it's an RC1 it's really unstable. But it's booting. It seems that there is a lot of change for the kirkwood arm arch, so maybe we could isolate the necessary part of the patch that could solve the booting issue.

I've started looking inside the code but since i'm not a high level programmer i can't promise I will find out the solution. But anyway we can be sure the dreamplug will boot with the next release

good news.

then we get to find out if 3.2 fixed the bugs introduced in 3.1.6
