Bricked Sheeva (esata)

To cut a long story short I was trying to get my sheeva to boot from SD card, while updating the bootloader i have bricked the device.

I'm trying to follow the instructions included with the v1 sheeva installer on a win7 machine but the runme.exe just flashes up a command window for the briefest instant.

Any advice?
perhaps an idea of what the usb stick directory layout should be as the readme isn't very clear

hmmm, i'm using win7 32bit and it's not working.

i tried doing it from a debian VM earlier but couldn't even get php5 installed!

Tried it from an Ubuntu VM

i get :


sh: openocd/openocd: Permission denied
 ****   openocd FAILED

and every sh command (running setenv) shows as permission denied

Is my device truely ruined?   
I've only had it a few days

FYI for anyone searching in future i used the Sheevaplug-Installer-v1.0 from an ubuntu machine to recover my plug and get debian onto it.

Didn't have any luck from a Win7 machine
