Capture image from uboot on a GuruPlug?

Is there any way to capture the state of flash from uBoot on a guruplug, either using jtag, network, or USB key?

As an alternative, does anyone have a run-from-USB-key or run-from-the-network image for the GuruPlug?

I need to clone a bunch of customized plugs, and I don't want to use dd from the live filesystem, that always worries me.
