guru plug with debian 6?

Hello,
I'm looking into ordering a DreamPlug. There are still some important question left open:
- is there any easy way to install Debian 6 on it? I have seen some posts on it, but none of them seemed to be easy to follow
- how far is the kernel from mainline? I'm working on a project, which needs some patches and a whole recompile, and kernel sources too different from main line might require too much additional work...
- does the wifi AP work also when not using the original Linux image?
Bye,
CzP

You might want to consider using the kernel patches/config on
http://sheeva.with-linux.com/sheeva/
as a starting point for your custom kernel. Seems to work pretty well (very few complaints).

Debian 6 is very to install.
See
http://www.markgillespie.co.uk/?page_id=18
for an easy to install image.
The kernels at
http://sheeva.with-linux.com/sheeva/
IMHO are excellent and very easy to install
