I started a thread in the General Forum and I think it may be a kernel issue so I'm posting here: http://plugcomputer.org/plugforum/index.php?topic=5851

The short version is I just received a new shipment of SheevaPlugs that came with Hynix HY27UF084G2B NAND and JFFS2 partitions. I cannot upgrade these plugs to work with UBIFS

My previous SheevaPlug used Samsung K9F4G08U0B NAND, and while it came preflashed with JFFS2, was able to be flashed with the UBIFS image with no problems.

I am at an impasse as to how to proceed. Ideally, I would like to get UBIFS working on the new plugs so I can flash these plugs using ESIA, but when I attempt to do so, my kernel hangs or spews out random characters when booting.
