I would like to point Meteohb users to a source where to get SheevaPlugs in Europe. Meteohub needs the SD card slot and USB serial connector to get uboot flashed, so SheevaPlug clones without that won't do.
Are there any distributors that can sell these in Europe (for a reasonable price)?
Are the units - that Globalscale sells - CE and ROHS certified/compliant?

i range some people in england that sell all marvells stuff in europe. They are the european contract. The guy said to me that they have not signed anything yet that would let them sell the sheeva plug in europe. He did not hear when they would be selling it. that was back august so i decided to buy from america. watch out for the import tax if it is sent by fedex. it cost alot when i thought i got away with out paying it.

I did not test but http://www.newit.co.uk is listed as official distributor. You will avoid import taxes. |

I've got my second SheevaPlug from NewIt. Fast delivery. 4...5 days. But there might be a Problem with the internal clock before installing Debian Squeeze. You must set the hwclock exactly. tbm described this at his page. http://plugcomputer.org/plugforum/index.php?topic=822.15 Other customers reported excellent working SheeaPlugs. Bought mine from NewIT as well. Fast delivery in Europe (4-5 days) no problems so far.
Probably in near future I will buy the second one.

NewIT delivered my 2 plugs with preinstalled ubifs within 4 days. Both plugs are operating fine. I've updated them with debian squeeze.
For the 1st plug from globalscale i was waiting 5 weeks.

Ordered from NewIT on 27.10 and arrived in rural Ireland morning of the 30th. Prompt replies to email and even a follow up to check on delivery ! There are still folks around who understand the service ethic  Sean. |

Same here, ordered it last monday from NewIt, and recieved it thursday ! Very fast and nice customer service!
Nice to recieve it before the week end to tinker round with it!

NEWIT sound like a great outfit to deal with. I just wish I waited a few weeks longer for them to launch their site. I ended up ordering from Globalscale, waiting 10 weeks, getting stuffed on import duties and paying £20 over the NewIT price in the end... Still that's life...  |

yeah I got it from NewIT as well. Only took 4 Days (including Saturday and Sunday) to get it delivered to Switzerland. Thank you very much for such a fast processing NewIT. Can highly recommend them
