I've noticed that ubuntu boots VERY slow either on the sheevaplug or the openclient (even on fresh installation or system restored), and most of the wait is between
Quote
md: Autodetecting RAID arrays.
md: autorun ...
md: ... autorun DONE.
and
Quote
VFS: Mounted root (jffs2 filesystem).
...
.
Sometimes I can see a line such as below appears in between the above blocks
Empty flash at 0x19ce0590 ends at 0x19ce0800
The wait time is roughly 1 minute.

I have no idea why it's so slow. Anyone has the similar prolbem?

I just noticed that Fedora distro on the openrd client has the same problem (using jffs2 image) after a fresh restore to the original. It seem the problem is kernel related.

Please don't double post on how slow jffs2 is.
