Hi Guys,

My story is mostly the same as everyone else who's bought a GuruPlug lately: I fired it up, it made a noise like a hairdryer, and got very hot. I've already pulled mine apart and removed the fan, and am in the process of adding some extra cooling to it. I'm going to add some heatsinks (these) and a fan of some kind, but I'm not sure what kind of fan I should buy. How much air should I be trying to blow through the case? Also, where would be the best place to position the fan? I've removed the PSU and am going to buy an external 5V/2A supply for it, so I've got some extra space in the case. However, should I place it on the bottom sucking air downward, or on one of the sides so the air goes across the heatsinks?

Noise is my main factor, but I'd like to make sure it's not overheating either, so can anyone recommend any decent replacement fans that don't sound like a dentist's drill?
