I would like to put GURU PLUG on the robot. But I don't know how to power GURU + by battery. Any idea???

The board only needs five volts so a battery and regulator should work fine.  USB in high power mode is limited to 500mA and we need 1A+ so USB wouldn't be a good option.

right!
you can use an mc7805 plugged to the robot's battery....or you can, as pagercam said, buy a battery regulator!
