switch between wlan and eth

greetings,
i would like connect my guruplug via ethernet to my router. right now, it is setup as wifi client. problem is that file transfer is very sluggish via wifi. however, if i hardconnect the plug, the router creates a second ip and if i ssh into the plug via this ip and mount, only my mac and linux machines can recognize the plug and the hdds connected to it: the windows machines cannot find them on the network. any suggestions. thanks for your help ... theo
