Using the mini USB port in host mode

Hallo everyone!

I was asking myself if it is possible to use the Sheevaplugs mini USB port in host mode so that I can attach USB devices to it using a "mini-USB-Plug -> USB connector" adapter. I have this question, since my newly arrived Sheevaplugs standard USB port is completely dead and noone at GlobalScale seems to care. (I wrote 2 mails, no answer)

So before taking further steps I was wondering if this was possible.

  I have had good luck by calling GlobalScale directly by phone. The nice lady has take great care of my issues.
