It sounds like the "official" 2.6.30 kernel is imminent:

    http://thread.gmane.org/gmane.linux.kernel/849020

Cbxbiker61, would it be possible to get the following modules added to support the Hauppauge HVR-1950 MPEG3 USB tuner?  (I believe a few of them are already there.)

    s5h1411
    tda18271
    tda8290
    tuner
    cx25840
    pvrusb2
    dvb_core
    cx2341x
    v4l2_common
    videodev
    v4l1_compat
    tveeprom

Thanks!

I had a lot of trouble with xfs with 2.6.30. I had to migrate everything from xfs to ext3. So I recommend those that use xfs file system not to upgrade to 2.6.30 or plan for migrating the file system.

XFS doesn't work very well on ARM in the upstream kernel, due to virtual aliasing issues.  This has been known for quite a while.
I got an error of superblock not found after remounting an XFS partition, I managed to go around it via mounting the log on another partition but other problems came up.

I would advise not to use it till we get a patch for ARM arch though it gave real great performance  Sad

Would it be possible to add USB to Serial support? In particular:
 usbserial
 cp210x
 cp2101
I should have checked properly the usb to serial modules I need are already included.

USB wireless lan adapter support would be appreciated as well, the EDIMAX USB 802.11g uses the RTL8187 chipset so support for that would be most appreciated as well.

EDIT: The modules needed for the RTL8187 chipset appear to be:
 eeprom_93cx6
 rtl8187

Disabling highspeed operations would be appreciated (to get reliable SD support)...

I'd like to have the ibmcam webcam driver.  Does your 2.6.30 kernel support loadable modules or would this need to be compiled in?

Thanks, Ken

2.6.30.1 should be released shortly.  I'll be rolling in new features then.

Sounds good. I also stumbled upon some problems with 3G modems since there's no modules for ppp. Not sure if i'm the only one experimenting with 3G modems heh? Cheers!
