Has anyone compiled Mediatomb 0.12 for the Sheeva?  I want to try it this weekend, but wondered if anyone else has done it.

I haven't compiled 0.12 but I've installed the binary for 0.11 (available in apt) and it worked just fine so I doubt you'd run into any issues. On a slightly related note, I think Coherence is nicer  Wink

same here, got Mediatomb running on Jaunty+2.6.30, just aptitude it and connect to the web GUI to configure the media and inotify enable it.

Sorry, I meant to say 0.12.  I got 0.11 to compile no problem, but 0.12 keeps failing, still trying to figure it out.

Now...  I've not heard of Coherence, but I'm not tied to Mediatomb.  I'll take a look at it.

Thanks!

I'll have to keep an eye on Coherence.  It looks good, but doesn't appear to support video transcoding yet.  I'm serving to DirecTV HD-DVR's, and they only understand MPEG2.  Mediatomb will transcode my AVI's and MP4's on the fly to the HD-DVR's.

Thanks,
