I've got a big problem with my gcc. I do not realy know what I did but it does not work anymore at all.
I've installed gentoo on the plug and until last week everything worked fine. Suddenly configure breaks with the message that gcc is not able to create executeables. gcc is in the path and starting it without anything tells me, that there are no input files which is of course correct.
emerge --info tells me:
Code:
homer ~ # emerge --info

Type:

gcc-config -l

to list the gcc profiles...you may have to change your gcc to a profile that worked...

It does not change anything. I still get:
checking for C compiler default output file name... configure: error: C compiler cannot create executables

Could it be an out-of-memory issue?

Check your make.conf; bet you've got a screwy (or duplicate) CFLAGS entry.

[About four years ago I was an insufferable Gentoo booster, spending days recompiling everything so I could save 1ms in a loop somewhere. I got over it.]

It is very unlikely but I will check. "hd"-space is definitly enough (nothing is over 30% usage).

The values of variables in make.conf are in my first post and for me it seems ok. Actually I did not change anything in my make.conf.

Maybe I can recreate the files from the stage3 but I do not know all files I would need.
