"Bad Magic Number" error again

Hi Pals,

After we successfully flashed u-boot into a bricked SheevaPlug, we ran into "Bad Magic Number" error:

We tried to run Installer Alpha 6 again but it did not work at all. Can anybody help, please? Thank you.

Are you letting the installer finish?  It will reboot several times, and the usb stick needs to be plugged in the entire time.  If that fails, the usb stick isn't working with the plug.  On my usb stick I had to borrow a windows box to get rid of the U3 junk that is stored on a seperate partition.  Google Sandisk U3 Uninstaller if you have a sandisk.

The error happened when u-boot is trying to lead the uImage in to system kernel. Let's assume that no bad blocks were hindering it from booting, then we guess it's either that u-boot could not load uImage, or uImage itself is corrupt(which explains "Bad Magic Number").

We tried waiting very long, as burn said, but nothing happend after.
