Hi people,
sorry for my bad english but i have a big problem with sheevaplug..
I have installed debian on nand and i use this machine as a server for my dates..
Yesterday i changed root permission for error and now i have an error on boot:

INIT: Entering runlevel: 2/init.d/rcS"
INIT: cannot execute "/etc/init.d/rc"

I am in panic,i need to have those dates..
If i append init=/bin/bash in bootargs i have these errors:

VFS: Cannot open root device "ubi0:rootfs" or unknown-block(0,0)
Please append a correct "root=" boot option; here are the available partitions:

Looks like the root partition may have been installed in another location, such as the sdcard.

it's impossible..i have not sdcard inserted..
I think that root has not root permission more and now some processes can't go up..

Yes, that is what you have already tried (appending init=/bin/bash to bootargs).

How exactly did you try it? I have noticed that if you change bootargs via the u-boot prompt and continue booting, the kernel will not get the correct boot parameters (and thus won't find the root fs). I don't know if this is a bug in u-boot or some obscure feature. You have to actually save the modified value of bootargs (using saveenv) and reset the plug.
