Could I upgrade internal NAND flash with one extracted from USB key?

I already ordered my Sheevaplug, but am just wondering. I know that the Sheevaplug uses a NAND flash drive for internal storage, and that many USB keys use the same type of interface. My question is whether an extracted one could be used to "upgrade" the sheevaplug, ie if I could take my 1GB usb key apart, extract the drive, and sauder/plug it in.
Thanks,
Smartboy

I think the sheevaplug is limited to 512 NAND and 512 RAM, however I am not completely sure.

So it is a BIOS limitation then?

There is a document from marvell detailing the specs of the platform, and I think there was a 512 limit somewhere, I am just not sure if it was on RAM, NAND or both

Ah thanks, I found what you were talking about
here in the reference design
. It seems that it is limited to 512 DDR2 memory, but the flash itself isn't limited to what its got. Just got to make sure the connection is the right one.
