Since working with the plug the SDIO seems not to work. I tried 3 different sd cards from 3 different manufaturers all with the same result. The kernel module for mmc is loaded but it does not detect a card. Pushing in the card while running causes the plug to restart. If the card stays in the slot while booting the blue led does not come up.
Anything else I can try or is the SDIO realy broken from hardware?

which kernel are you running?
Do you have SDIO support built in?

I think your problem is HW related.
Do the problem persist on uboot?
