Having trouble with my USB hard drive

I've always had trouble with this drive locking up at random, forcing me to dismount the drive, power cycle it, and remount it.. Well this morning when I went to do that, I was unable to remount it.. When I do an FSCK, I get this:

Did the drive actually crash, or is there something more I need to do to get the file system working again.. It's an EXT3 file system..

Figured out how to specify an alternate superblock, and then how to recreate the main superblock.. My data is working again. I wish this drive would stop crashing.
