2.6.35.7 is now available. This version has a patch that theoretically fixes the e-sata port multiplier problem. It's the patch that is being rolled into 2.6.36. E-sata users check it out and see if it works. Kernel and modules are available from the following location: http://sheeva.with-linux.com/sheeva/Features e-sata, dmcrypt, IPV6, CIFS, NFS4, EXT3, EXT4, JFS, XFS, FUSE(for ntfs-3g), UBIFS, usb-serial, uvcvideo, iptables, appletalk, bluetooth, v4l and ppp.

I just added ath9k to support mini-pci cards in iomega iconnect. That might make a useful wireless access point.

I'd like to recommend for the future you turn timestamps back off. Most people don't want or need them and they just add extra boot noise. These options are easily accessed by those who do need/want them through the standard kernel command line parameters: http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/people/gregkh/lkn/lkn_pdf/ch09.pdf (see earlyprintk and time parameters). Unfortunately, I do not see a way to disable them via command line if they are already enabled.

Thanks for building the support of the atheros wireless (ath9k(
No I modified my Iomega Iconnect, and replaced the wifi (ralink3090) with an atheros 9280, and works
Does anybody how to solve the NIC speed of the iconnect
The problem, it only works at 1000MB, and you can't change it. I think it's a driver issue???
ethtool gives this, I also putted below a dmesg

Probably a FAQ, but ... what's the secret to getting wireless (client mode, not AP) working with these sheeva-with-linux kernels? Which module should I be using? I can modprobe libertas_sdio, and it loads without errors, but nothing shows up in ifconfig -a. The pre-existing Marvell sd8688.ko won't load because its version doesn't match the new kernel: sd8xxx: version magic '2.6.31.8 preempt mod_unload ARMv5 ' should be '2.6.35.7 preempt mod_unload ARMv5 ' insmod: error inserting 'sd8688.ko': -1 Invalid module format
Thanks!

Thanks for building the support of the atheros wireless (ath9k(
No I modified my Iomega Iconnect, and replaced the wifi (ralink3090) with an atheros 9280, and works
Could you add an Iomega Iconnect howto in the wiki? That could be useful for those thinking of using the iconnect.

I will later on put it on the wiki, but I used this site http://doip.org/iconnectFor installing it only works with 1GB port on your switch/hub. I replaced the internal wifi that is not supported by kernel drivers (ralink rt3090) with an atheros mini pci half size 9280) regards Richard

Can you add: CONFIG_TASKSTATS, CONFIG_TASK_DELAY_ACCT, and CONFIG_TASK_IO_ACCOUNTING?
# iotop Could not run iotop as some of the requirements are not met: - Python >= 2.5 for AF_NETLINK support: Found - Linux >= 2.6.20 with I/O accounting support (CONFIG_TASKSTATS, CONFIG_TASK_DELAY_ACCT, CONFIG_TASK_IO_ACCOUNTING): Not found #

I just updated 2.6.35.7 so that it is iotop capable.

I just find the time to try it and I can confirm that my eSATA PM is recognized now.
Thanks, Nicolas

Too bad, doesn't work for me: eSATA WD Studio Edition II. Only 2.6.32.7 works!

will later on put it on the wiki, but I used this site http://doip.org/iconnectFor installing it only works with 1GB port on your switch/hub. I replaced the internal wifi that is not supported by kernel drivers (ralink rt3090) with an atheros mini pci half size 9280) regards Richard Hi Richard, can you post some details about loading u-boot and rootfs on your iconnect. I have one, but there is no much information out there apart from doip... thanks

Here the u-boot stuff when for usb devices, where sda2 is root, when done reboot and you see if it works
issues that I hope to find, are the network, to get it also on 100mb, and the led control. So if any ideas...
setenv bootargs_console 'console=ttyS0,115200 root=/dev/sda2 rootdelay=10' setenv bootcmd_usb 'usb start; ext2load usb 0:1 0x00800000 /uImage' setenv bootcmd 'setenv bootargs $(bootargs_console); run bootcmd_usb; bootm 0x00800000' saveenv
regards Richard

I think I found something for the led control
I booted antoher Iomega default kernel, and says
i2c /dev entries driver lm63 0-004c: Alert/tach pin configured for alert output lm63 0-004c: PWM clock 360 kHz, output frequency 7826 Hz lm63 0-004c: PWM output active high, manual mode Registered led device: led_level Registered led device: power_blue_led Registered led device: power_red_led Registered led device: usb_1_led Registered led device: usb_2_led Registered led device: usb_3_led Registered led device: usb_4_led Registered led device: otb_led
@cbxbiker, will you compile lm63 and i2c into the kernel, for te marvell what's in the kernel, so I can check it, something like
mv64xxx_i2c
I think also
LED Support for GPIO connected LEDs (CONFIG_LEDS_GPIO) (tristate) (Help) [Platform device bindings for GPIO LEDs (CONFIG_LEDS_GPIO_PLATFORM) (bool) (Help)
and control the leds in sysfs
LED Trigger support (CONFIG_LEDS_TRIGGERS) (bool) (Help)
regards Richard
