I obviously got  right out of my depth and changed something I shouldn't have and lost my ubuntu install on my very recently acquired plug.

I followed the recovery steps here: http://plugcomputer.org/plugwiki/index.php/Reflashing_images_on_the_GuruPlug

all went well - got the files written via tftp from my Windows box.  But on reset the rootfs is not found. Needless to say all help very gratefully received!
