unexpected Feroceon EICE version signature

I have bricked my sheevaplug and I am trying to bring it back to live,
so far I tried on two different computers linux and windows,
but I get the same error messages on both platform:

Error: 79 305 core.c:865 jtag_examine_chain_check(): JTAG communication failure: check connection, JTAG interface, target power etc.
Error: 80 305 core.c:1176 jtag_init_inner(): trying to validate configured JTAG chain anyway...
Error: 81 310 core.c:1071 jtag_validate_chain(): Could not validate JTAG scan chain, IR mismatch, scan returned 0x00. tap=feroceon.cpu pos=0 expected 0x1 got 0
Error: 87 320 feroceon.c:699 feroceon_examine(): unexpected Feroceon EICE version signature
Error: 108 552 feroceon.c:699 feroceon_examine(): unexpected Feroceon EICE version signature
Error: 139 6000 target.c:1945 target_wait_state(): timed out while waiting for target halted
  Error:  Burn process failed !

I have attached the full log to this post.

I would appreciate any clue on how to solve this.

Try changing the 2000 Hz setting to 500 Hz, in installer/uboot/openocd/config/interface/sheevaplug.cfg

Since the error appears on the JTAG connection, check whether both tty ports are recognised. (You know one works, since the serial connection is apparently working).

Thanks, I have updated the sheevaplug.cfg and now I can get a bit further:

Error: 190 1002 core.c:921 jtag_examine_chain_check(): JTAG scan chain interrogation failed: all zeroes
Error: 191 1002 core.c:922 jtag_examine_chain_check(): Check JTAG interface, timings, target power, etc.
Error: 209 1418 core.c:921 jtag_examine_chain_check(): JTAG scan chain interrogation failed: all zeroes
Error: 210 1418 core.c:922 jtag_examine_chain_check(): Check JTAG interface, timings, target power, etc.
Error: 262 1427 feroceon.c:657 feroceon_examine(): unexpected Feroceon EICE version signature
Error: 293 6649 target.c:2119 target_wait_state(): timed out while waiting for target halted
  Error:  Burn process failed !

Does the JTAG scan chain interrogation failed: all zeroes message means that the plug is bricked
or does it means there is a problem with the JTAG interface ?

I am trying to use the sheevaplug-installer-v1.0 to unbrick the plug, is this the right method ?
