Hi,

does anyone use a USB to eSATA converter on the normal (non-eSATA)-Sheeva?
Such a device is shown here (in Germany available for 11,90EUR):
http://www.delock.de/produkte/suche/Delock_Adapter_USB_20_eSATAp_+_SATA_61711.html

I think it would be a nice solution against a complete USB-Drive-Enclosure?

Or for swapping drives with  real eSATA-Sheeva/GuruPlug...IF the chipset of the converter
is supported by the linux/debian/ubuntu

I don't see a reason why this should not work. It's the same as every USB to SATA converter that is in every USB drive enclosure and I have never heard of any problems with USB drives not being supported.
