i let it connect to windows update and it automagically installed all my drivers.  i let it finish, and then tried t oconnect on all com ports using putty (yes i changed the speed setting).

under ports, i see

Code:
Intel Active Management Technology - SOL (COM4)
COM5: RIM Virtual Serial port
COM6: RIM Virtual Serial port

The first one seems tob esomething through lenovo, and the 2nd and 3rd seem to be for blackberry.

Under USB controllers i see
Code:
USB Serial Converter A
USB Serial Converter B

but i dont see anything else under ports.

any idea how i can get this working?  putty justblanks out when i try to connect to any of those ports.

and i saw
