SheevaPlug-installerv1.0 and kernel 2.6.32

Hi everyone!
I am in a bit of a mess.  My lack of knowledge is driving me insane.
I have successfully "mastered" installing Kernel 2.6.30.2 using SheevaPlug installer v1.0 and now.  This morning, I tried to program a different plug and found out a problem (explained in this thread http://plugcomputer.org/plugforum/index.php?topic=2008.0
where the solution to it is installing kernel 2.6.32 which has a problem with new hardware on newer plugs that causes a clock drift (found in this thread http://plugcomputer.org/plugforum/index.php?topic=2002)

My question is:
Can I use sheevaplug installer v1.0 to install kernel 2.6.32? If not, what would be the best solution to upgrade my Plug to the newer kernel.

Well - I took a risk and did the following which seems to work, but still if anyone would like to chime in and tell me if I am doing things wrong, then I would greatly appreciate it.

I downloaded kernel 2.6.32.2 uImage and modules.tar.gz
I replaced the installer-v1.0 files with the two downloaded files.

I ran the installer-v1.0 runme.php script and it seems to boot without any issues.
