Hi all,

I've had some issues with the Android 2.1 for SheevaPlug (the Plug(d)roid distro) available for the SheevaPlug enhanced installer. It installs successfully, however I cannot seem to get the VNC server working, as it does not seem to be listening on the VNC port (5900). If I manually run the executable, which is /fbvncserver , I get this:

Code:
# /fbvncserver
* pause for a bit *
Initialising Frame Buffer...
/dev/graphics/fb0 : No such file or directory
open failed!
.

Any help would be appreciated. I am using the kernel that came with Plug(d)roid, not a custom one or anything for that matter.

Cheers,
Coburn.

I had the same problem.  Hope you're not still waiting around for the solution, but for new viewers of this thread the secret is this:

Add "video=vfb:" to your boot args (without the quotes).  This is probably done easiest by adding this to the "bootargs_root" environment variable in u-boot.  This also solve some Ethernet issues that I've seen.
