I have created a virtual machine that runs Debian Linux and has the cross compiler installed on it. While most of you are beyond this point, I figured this could be useful for newcomers to the GuruPlug. I created this VM with VirtualBox OSE, but exported it to the open vitualization standard format so users of other virtualization software could use it.
Here's the important info first (login and download location):

I had to split the approximately 2.7 GB zip into four sections in order to get it to upload (even though the site claimed to handle files up to 5 GB, but I won't complain since it's free). If you need instructions on putting it back together refer to:
http://www.hendra-k.net/how-to-extract-multi-part-zip-files.htmlI have no guarantees on how long the files will be kept on this file host, so these links could die at any time.
Features:
* Cross compiler installed for GuruPlug
* Requisite "Hello World" program to test the cross compiler and as an example
* Globalscale's u-boot and kernel downloaded and compiled
* Hopefully helpful readme on guruplug's desktop (which is who you should log in as)
* Possibly useful Web bookmarks
As an aside, I used Debian (Lenny) because of:
a) its friendliness to Linux newcomers
b) the GuruPlug's default distribution
c) the ease of installing the cross compiler
d) similarity to my VM host system (Ubuntu)
Anyway, I hope this helps someone.
