I want to create a bin file I can load into another plug to replicate what I have done with my current one.

Anyone have any tips or ideas on how to create a file that I can upload to other plugs?

the question is too general.

can you specify where you want to load the .bin file to? U-Boot / Linux ?

once you install a native or cross toolchain you can use the objcopy utility convert and ELF file to a bin file (memory image) - but this is useful only if you want to run the bin file under U-Boot.
Linux gets ELF files.

I think he mean that he want to put the content of the internal flash (512MB) to a .bin file
(this could hold a actual  and reconfigured ubuntu).
This .bin / flash-File should be restored to another (shevva)plug.

I also woud love so have such a application...
