JTAG cables (JTAG & UART) seems very fragile.

Do you think they are easily available in a electronic components stores?

Yes, they're usually easily available and quite common. If I'm not wrong, they looks like molex pico-blade: http://www.molex.com/molex/products/family?key=picoblade&pageTitle=Introduction&parentKey=wire_to_board_connectors&channel=products&chanName=family

Just note down original wire connections, to make your own later...
