Hi folks!
I am rather new to this sort of things (not UNIX in general but plug computers)
Is there a very simple documentation of how to get a linux distribution (like Ubuntu) up and running?
Want to use it for ftpd and httpd
Thanks in advance!

Ubuntu is already included in SheevaPlug filesystem

Have you tried to read the WIKI pages?
http://www.openplug.org/plugwiki/index.php/Main_Page
If you want to start from scratch, try this guide:
