I don't know how they did it but the guys from Tonido (
www.tonido.com) managed to get transcoding to work on the plug.
With the latest version of their software the Tonido Jukebox application supports .flac files ( and other formats) to be transcoded to mp3 and played via the webinterface of Tonido.
