Hi Folks,

New user here and I have failed at the 1st hurdle.

I recieved my shiny new eSATA Multi-Boot Sheeva Plug from New-IT and it booted up fine.

Checking on the forums, it look slike I should check my U-Boot Version, which was 3.4.16 - advice was to update this to a later version.
I duly downloaded a new version (3.4.23 was recommended as suitable for my purpose) and carefully followed the instructions for updating.

Having done all this I now cannot get any further, it has stopped booting successfully.

I have included below the detail I can get when it boots, but it always stops here and I am not sure why. I didn't change anything else, as far as I know.

The u-boot that you installed appears to not initializing the sata hardware properly prior loading the kernel.  That would be why you're hanging when it tries to load sata_mv.

Ok, that seems logical based on the detail we can see here. Any ideas why this might be the case?
I grabbed the U-Boot update file from here

Aah, that one looks like a better bet, thanks Marcus.
I will try that and update later.

Thanks folks
