Can't saveenv bootwait.

Hello,

I want to use the UART to connect a ZIGBEE module. unfortunately the ZIGBEE module can output data at any time including during the UBOOT boot delay prompt. So I planned to set bootdelay 0 and burn a new uboot image if I ever needed bootdelay > 0

This has raised two problems:

1. setenv bootdelay 2 and saveenv - does not save after reboot. Other environment vars such as serverip do save after reboot.

2. It would appear that the uboot environment is not part of the uboot bin as the variable are preserved after writing a new image via openocd.

Could anyone shed a clue as to why I cant saveenv bootdelay and how I can read and write the u-boot environment via openocd?

i think bootdelay env variable gets overridden every boot, all other env variables are saved.

btw - which ZIGBEE module are you using? can you please send URL where to purchase?

We have had the best success with the XBEE modules from digi.com.

For prototyping sparkfun is a great source http://www.sparkfun.com/commerce/categories.php?c=111

For production quantities buy from the digi distributor.

I just received the Z-Accel Demonstration kit from TI - part number eZ430-RF2480. In the kit there is one USB stick with a ZigBee network processor and a MSP430F2274 microcontroller that runs as the Coordinator and 3 target boards for measuring temperature and 2 Battery boards that connect to the temp sensors. I am in the process of installing and testing in Windows (test software is free download) and then want to work with them in Linux with the goal of running the Coordinator on the SheevaPlug. Each of the pieces is uncovered so they are just packaged for demo use.
