The sheevaplug can't read the SD card unless I fully seat it and then pull it out a bit OR if i fully seat it and pull and hold it forward with my finger.
Anyway to replace these? or?

Have you tested more than 1 SD card, so you know if the problem comes from the sheevaplug or the SD card?

I dont have any other SD cards but I guess I can get one for testing purposes. I got a SanDisk SDHC 8GB Class 2.
I was thinking it was the way the pcb was mounted inside the sheevaplug chassis because the sd slot and the mini usb slot don't line up very well.

I adjusted the screws holding the sheevaplug chassis together and now the mini usb and sd card slot line up better. This helps the sd card slide in and out better and not get pushed away from the pins in the slot, however it is still not reading the sd cards.

best thing to do is to get another sd card. As marcus suggested, test using another SD card.
Or you can also test your CURRENT SD card. Go to your local store and ask them to test your SD card if you don't have any other SD card reader.

I ended up ordering another short body sd card socket from Digikey. Should be here any day now. I'll just solder it on and be done with it.
