I've got an early sheeve, running the original OS, with the root FS on an SD card. Don't know the "alpha #", but uname tells me:

I'd like to upgrade, preferably to the new, non-alpha system, but would rather not do the whole image-flash install thing, beause of the complication of getting the new sys on to the SD card, and then fixing up the other stuff that I've installed. I would assume that 'apt-get dist-upgrade', or even 'apt-get upgrade' would get me a newer kernel, etc., but no updates have ever happened that way. Is it possible, or do I need to go through an install?
My current /etc/apt/sources.list file is:

I know that an upgrade via apt-get wouldn't get me the newest u-boot, but I don't care much about that. If I need it to boot the newest system, is there a way to flash it separately, independent of the full install?
