Problem with dir module in apache

I have tried to enable dir module in apache2 but restarting apache 2 i found this error:

root@sheeva:/var/www# /etc/init.d/apache2 restart
 * Restarting web server apache2                                                apache2: Syntax error on line 61 of /etc/apache2/apache2.conf: Cannot load /etc/apache2/mods-enabled/dir.load into server: /etc/apache2/mods-enabled/dir.load: ELF file version does not match current one
