How to start subversion's svnserve daemon automatically?

I got my plug last week. I have a 16gb sd card and a 500gb USB drive attached.

So far I have subversion and a samba share working on it.

I can start svnserve manually by typing svnserve -d -r /mnt/sd/svnrepos
and that works fine.

But I want it to work automatically when re-booting so I added

svn stream tcp nowait root /usr/bin/svnserve svnserve -i -r /mnt/sd/svnrepos

to my /etc/inetd.conf file and when I reboot it doesn't run automatically when trying to connect.

Is my line in the inetd.conf file correct?

is inetd installed (dpkg -l) and started (ps -ef) after a reboot? Is it opening a listening socket for svn (netstat -npt)? is there anything in the logs (/var/log)

Seems inetd is not installed so I just added the svnserve init code to /etc/rc.local instead. But, at first it still didn't work as the default /etc/rc.local is messed up so I had to fix it by following the instructions here: http://computingplugs.com/index.php/Fixing_apt-get
