Ubuntu 9.04: No Updates since month?

u-boot 3.423 / Kernel 2.6.32 / Ubuntu 9.04

Hi, I got my plug working since a few month now (from SD).  However, since the first update, following the instructions at http://plugcomputer.org/plugwiki/index.php/New_Plugger_How_To#Fixing_the_existing_Ubuntu_install, I think I never got any further updates for my installed packages, though adding new packages works.

I find this odd as my Ubuntu-dist on my PC came with several updates since then?!? Is this just because the cycles on the ARM-branch are more seldom? Or is still something wrong with my FS?

As far as I understand is standard Ubuntu policy to stop upgrading packages for non-LTS distributions as soon as new release is done.
Hence new packages will be updated only on new version of Ubuntu, but the new version is NOT compatible with plug.

Considering this you have 2 options left:
- monitor packages and as soon as new version is available compile source to have new version for your distribution (either cross-compile or compile in the plug) 
- switch to Debian - and everithing will run smooth

"The 9.04 Jaunty Jackalope version will be keep up-to-date by Ubuntu until 2011 or so, yet its not official. However you won't get the latest updates/packages like you'll get with 9.10 and future releases.
A solution is switching to Debian or another distribution."

I was under the impression that there would be at least some updates.

ok, I should probably be reinstalling around the 26th of October, because thats when the final, final 6.10 releases, I should have waited until then in the first place.  Till then, only ubuntu on my lappy...
I am remembering why I switched to linuxubuntu, now that Im using windows again.

Sorry, that was my mistake. I've asked an ubuntu developer and he has told me that jaunty will only get security updates, i've modified that message.

Hmm, just got aware that sb else is having more repositories in his sources.list than me.

In my /etc/apt/sources.list I just got:
deb http://ports.ubuntu.com/ jaunty main restricted universe multiverse

He's having those additionally:
deb http://ports.ubuntu.com/ jaunty-updates main restricted universe multiverse
deb http://ports.ubuntu.com/ jaunty-security main restricted universe multiverse
deb http://ports.ubuntu.com/ jaunty-proposed main restricted universe multiverse
deb http://ports.ubuntu.com/ jaunty-backports main restricted universe multiverse

If I add them as well it's the first I'll see suggestions for an update:
