2.6.32 is now available.

This kernel should theoretically support the OpenRD.  Anyone care to give it a try?

gspca drivers added.

Kernel and modules are available from the following location:

Features IPV6, CIFS, NFS4, EXT3, EXT4, JFS, XFS, FUSE(for ntfs-3g), UBIFS, usb-serial, uvcvideo, iptables, appletalk, bluetooth, v4l and ppp.

Did you compile it with sata support?

I tried it in my modified sheevaplug (with sata enabled), booted and ran fine, but could not find the sata drive.   

The openrd base and client both have a sata drive mount on the board and an Esata connection for external drives, so really to support the OpenRd  the kernel needs sata driver and data buffer compiled in.

could you put the config file for the kernel on your page ?

Usually I use your great work, but sometime I compile a kernel on my own.
In this case your config file is very helpful.

I saw that RAID support was included in the 2.6.30 kernel.

Is it safe to assume that this support has not wanished since?
(This is the first time I visit the kernel forum; hence my insecurity.)

I've done some googling, but can't seem to figure out which SATA support is required for openrd.  Is it AHCI sata?  And which option is the "data buffer"?

Yeah, it's safe to say the support is still in there.  Only in the event of some sort of problem will a feature disappear in a newer version.

Hi, 

Attached is a file openrd_base-setup.c, from the  Marvell Orion git

I found all the references  to sata, and modified the sheevaplug-setup.c to be similar, cross compiled using the modified sheevaplug setup, installed the kernel  and my plug uses the sata drive now absolutely fine!

The "data buffer" maybe that was a bad expression,  I was referring to is here, ( from openrd_base-setup):-
