Hi,

I cannot read any of the *.brd layouts in the Schematics and Bom data files.

(Eagle. Kicad, and PCB fail to read them).

Has anyone succeeded in reading these files?

What is the correct  layout program that can read them?

Could someone transcribe them  into PDF's or jpgs

All I am interested in is the availaibility of vias or headers that can be used to easily add functionality, e.g. sata o/p

cheers

Googling suggests that it's the native format of a program called Cadence Allegro PCB. Looks like some other software can import .BRD files, too.

 Cheesy Cheesy

hi plugit,  I downloaded allegro_free_viewer_16-2.exe from the link you posted, after filling in a looonng registration form.
I am running it under linux wine, it  works fine, I can view the boards, bit confusing to work out what layer and colour is what. I will get there in the end.

Many thanks for the pointer

cheers

Great! Glad it worked. I can't wait to see what people figure out about this device.

Can anyone tell me where you get *.brd files of SheevaPlug?
I checked SheevaPlug_SchematicsAndBOMS1.2 file, but is has only Gerbers and pdf version of Schematic.

HI,

AFAIK    The only board documents were for the original version of the Plug. The current shipping version  v 1.3 documents only consist of the schematic.

cheers

They are on the CD that shipped with the SheevaPlug.  I do not know if they ship the same CD with the later versions of the SheevaPlug.
