1  Linux Stuff / Android for SheevaPlug is Available! / Re: Install Android On SheevaPlug on: August 25, 2010, 12:20:37 AM
the source code is available as tarball, I did upload the code to FS svn
You might have misunderstood me. I'm sorry for that.

I meant the Android source code. Is this available?

Is the source code available in a git repo or something?

What ferrite did you use?
Something like this?

Is it 0603?

@andy
Don't forget that you also need to connect the POWER to the esata part of the processor.  If you look on the schematic  powerplug v1.3 sheet 7/11 cpupower you will see a power filter set of components connected to esata cpu pins N6, N8.  (These are not fitted on my system as shipped).  The components are C78, C79, 100nf, C196, C197, 1uF, and a ferrite BIT7, 60 ohm. You will have to add the signal TX and RX Caps as well as you stated.

Oh... I didn't take that into account.
I'm glad you posted this. Otherwise I would be wondering why all this stuff doesn't work Wink

But no, I only found connectors where I need to buy 1000 of them Sad
A friend of mine is working for an electronics company. Perhaps I can get some from him. But this wouldn't be possible for everyone. I hope you understand this.

Somebody is already selling a plug with an eSATA connector:

Yes, for only $199 Wink

I don't think that this connector and 4 caps will cost me $100 Wink
And I don't care about their software. I'll do my own anyway.

But it's another indication that it could work if you solder this stuff to your board at home Smiley

According to the new schematics it should be possible to solder these 4 10nF capacitors and an eSATA connector to the board to make it work Smiley
At least for the 1.3 Revisions.

I'll try it, as soon as I've found a source for these damn small capacitors and an eSATA connector with the right footprint for normal people without buying thousands of them Wink
